Sherell Bees, a native of Luverne, Ala., serves as an Academic Eligibility Coordinator in the Student-Athlete Services office. He graduated from Southeastern University in Florida where he received his bachelor's degree in history education in 1968. After college he was drafted by the U.S. Army and spent two years in the infantry, where he also completed a tour in Vietnam.
After the Army, he enrolled at Troy University in Montgomery where he received his master's degree in counseling. In 1974 he came to Troy as a counselor, where he worked until his retirement in 2000. He returned as a part time Athletic Eligibility Coordinator in 2004 and has been at the University for 31 years.
