Helen Ricks serves as a departmental secretary in Troy
University's athletic department and has worked at the university for
24 years.
Before working in the athletics department, Ricks worked in Creative Services and within the Chancellor's office. Her duties mainly include to maintaining Athletic Director Steve Dennis' hectic schedule helping with various contracts.
In
the past year, she was honored with awards for her service and
activities on campus. She received the Joan "Chad" Skinner Award for
outstanding service to the Farmhouse Fraternity, and was named "Miss
Greek" for the 2008 school year.
Ricks has two children who both attend Troy University. Kristin is a senior and Judson is a junior.
Ricks said her favorite part of working in the Troy Athletics Department is the family atmosphere.
"We may not always agree on how to get things done, but we get them done."
