Joan Hazel has been at Troy University since 2004 and she is entering her third year as the Athletics Department’s Ticket Manager.
A native of Selmer, Tenn., she is a graduate of Delta State University, in Mississippi, where she earned her bachelor's degree as a double major in music and business. She also has her master's degree as a double major in music performance and music pedagogy from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
Prior to taking the position in the athletics department, she served as a professor of music, teaching and singing opera. She is married to Ricky Hazel and the couple lives in Troy.
