Dr. Peter M. DiChiara has been in private practice in Troy since 1985. He has been the director of student health services at Troy University and the medical director of the Pike Manor Health Care Center since 1987.
He received a degree in psychology from the University of Alabama in 1972. Following a year of Corpsman School in the United States Army, DiChiara earned his undergraduate degree in medicine from UAB in 1976. In 1982, he was awarded his M.D. from UAB.
DiChiara is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Association of Medical Review Officers, Southern Medical Association, American Medical Directors Association, American Society of Internal Medicine and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He was board certified in internal medicine in 1986, and named a fellow in the American College of Physicians in 1993.
