Dr. Alan Young is an internist who has been working with Troy University Athletics since 1999.
Originally from Montgomery, Ala., Dr. Young obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.
After completing his Internal Medicine Residency at Birmingham Baptist Medical Center, he remained there to be Chief Resident and Instructor. Dr. Young was Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1999. He is in private practice with Pike Internal Medicine.
Dr. Young is an active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and American Association of Medical Review Officers. Her serves as Medical Director of Wiregrass Hospice and Magnolia Wood Lodge.
