Alyson Steed is beginning her fifth season as an athletic trainer for Troy University. Steed’s primary sport assignment is men’s basketball and she assists with football.
Steed earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Troy in 1999. After that she spent time teaching science at Pike Liberal Arts in Troy and Dixie Academy in Louisville, Ala.
She returned to Troy to work on her master’s degree in education in 2004 while serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Training Department. During that time she worked with the Soccer, Rodeo, and Football teams.
Steed and her husband, Mark, have one daughter, Meredith, 10. The Steed family resides in Brundidge.
