"Doc" Anderson is the department chair, the program director and assistant professor for the athletic training department.
Prior to his current tenure at Troy University, he was the Head Athletic Trainer at Troy University (FA 1967 - FA 1979), and was the Head Athletic Trainer at LSU (1980-1989). "Doc" has also worked on the USA Medical Team for track and field during the Olympic Games in 1984, '88, '92 and '96.
"Doc" graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Physical Education in 1963. He received his M.S. from Troy University in Physical Education in 1970.
"Doc" serves as a volunteer cross country coach for Troy and enjoys running, lifting weights and cycling in his free time.
