Men’s Golf Tied for First After 36 Holes at Little Rock Classic

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the first time this season, the Troy University men's golf team is tied for the lead after 36 holes at the Little Rock Classic in Little Rock, Arkansas. Troy is tied with VCU for the tournament lead at 569.
The Trojans were led by Brantley Scott on Monday at the Chenal Country Club. Scott tallied a tournament-best 66 after 18 holes on the day. After leading the way after round one, Scott followed his 66 with a 71 to remain in third place among all players.
Nicklas Borrmann has taken a step forward after his efforts through 36 holes. He had a solid day on the course, as just one stroke separated his first and second-round scores. After shooting a 72 in round one, Borrmann netted an eagle and three birdies on the back nine to finish with a 71 in round two.
Trojan mainstay Will McFadden was just one stroke behind his teammate, Borrmann, after two rounds in Arkansas. McFadden tallied the second-lowest total by a Trojans in 18 holes at the tournament, shooting a 70 in round one. He would close his day by shooting a 74 in round two.
George Burch rebounded after a rough first 18 holes. After recording a 78 in round one, Burch captured a score of 71 in round two. He would go on to record five birdies in his second-round effort to finish the day with a 149.
One shot behind Burch on Monday was Jake Springer, who, on his day, shot a 150 through 36 holes. He would net a 74 through his first round of action and concluded his day with a 74 despite earning three birdies.
