Men’s Golf Slides on Final Day of Little Rock Invitational

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After entering the day tied for the lead after 36 holes at the Little Rock Invitational, the Troy University men's golf team slid three spots and finished the tournament tied for fourth out of 17 teams in Little Rock.
Brantley Scott was the standout for the Trojans on both days of the Little Rock Invitational. He began his tournament with a 66 but finished the third round with a 77 after netting a colorful scorecard on the final day. Still, Scott would finish in fifth place among all players.
Nicklas Borrmann improved overall at Chenal Country Club on Monday and Tuesday this week. After shooting two rounds of 74 golf, Borrmann netted a 76 on Tuesday to close out his tournament. He would conclude his event in Arkansas, tied for 19th with an overall score of 219.
Jake Springer had the best round of golf on Tuesday among his teammates. He finished the tournament tied for 33rd after recording four birdies in round three. He had an overall score of 224 after 54 holes of golf.
Will McFadden struggled on the final day of the Little Rock Invitational. After netting a second-place finish among the Trojans after one round, he would shoot an 81 on Tuesday to finish with a 225. The senior finished the tournament tied for 37th.
The highlight of George Burch's day on Tuesday was the ninth hole at Chenal Country Club, as he was able to net his first eagle of the tournament. After that, however, Burch would only earn one more positive mark on the scorecard and finished the day seven over to finish tied for 49th overall.
