Men’s Golf Closes Fall at FAU Invitational

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team closes out its fall schedule this week with its first-ever trip to the FAU Invitational at Panther National on Monday and Tuesday.

Troy has played well in the fall, shooting under-par in six of its nine rounds, with two regular starters sitting under-par for the year as well led by Pablo Gracia and Lee Poppell. Gracia sits 1.78 strokes under-par per round this year while Poppell is a stroke behind at -0.78 per round. The par has combined to shoot in the red in 13 of their 18 individual rounds.

The Trojans are coming off a tough performance at the Everett Buick GMC Classic, where they finished 15^th, with a season-low one round under-par. Gracia and Poppell finished in the red, where they have been in all three events this year, to pace the squad.

Gracia paces the Trojans with all nine of his rounds counting towards the team card, while Poppell and freshman Thomas Crane have seen eight of their nine rounds count. Grant Yerger and Landon Noble have played in all three events with 6-of-9 rounds counting.
