No. 63 Troy Falls at No. 19 Ole Miss

OXFORD, Mississippi – The No. 63 Troy men's tennis team ended its streak of back-to-back-to-back ranked matches, but fell in a 6-1 loss to No. 19 Ole Miss at the Gillom Sports Center on Tuesday night.
Ole Miss won all three doubles matches of the day with Pablo Moreno and Mustapha Belcora falling in a tough 6-0 defeat. The No. 1 doubles fell in a 7-6 loss to complete the final doubles match of the day.
The Rebels got out to a fast start in singles play, winning the first set in five of six matches. Moreno was the lone Trojan to win his first set and eventually went on to clinch the match for the Trojans final match of the day.
The Trojans dropped at No. 3, No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6, which resulted in an Ole Miss clinched match. Daniel Bustamante was defeated by the No. 36 ranked singles player in the nation in Stefan Lindmark.
Troy will travel to Norman, Okla., on Saturday to begin the ITA Kick-off Weekend with an opening matchup against UTSA at 10 a.m.
