Troy Softball Heads West For Final Regular Season Contest

TROY, Ala- The Troy softball team heads west to face No. 10 Louisiana for its final regular season contest. The three-game series will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available at TroyTrojans.com. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, 6 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

After dropping two of the three games against South Alabama, Troy (32-19, looks to bounce back against Louisiana.

The high-powered Trojan offense has continued to be spearheaded by Jade Sinness and Libby Baker. The duo hit at a .365 and .344 clip, respectively. They are responsible for a combined 110 hits, 20 home runs, and 187 total bases between the pair.

Baker leads the Troy pitching staff as its ace this season. Baker tossed 14.2 innings through the weekend to add to her impressive 142.2 innings pitched. Baker has pinned opposing batters to a .246 batting average on a 3.68 ERA.

Taylor McKinney returned to the lineup for the first time since game one against Texas State. After returning from an injury, the Montgomery native hit two home runs in two days and picked up three hits from the series.

Mihyla Davis leads the Ragin' Cajuns with a .426 clip from the dish and a .970 OPS. Davis has taken 183 at-bats, where she has recorded 78 hits, 42 runs, nine doubles and three triples.

From the circle, Louisiana is led by Sam Landry, who leads the Ragin' Cajuns with a 2.08 ERA. The junior bolsters a 20-7 record, 10 complete games and 161.2 innings pitched. She has punched out 139 batters and held opposing teams to a .208 batting average.
