LAFAYATTE, La. – The Troy women's tennis team won its fifth consecutive match after taking down Louisiana, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Cajun Courts.

One constant during the Trojan's winning streak has been its ability to win the doubles point, and Sunday was no different. The Trojans cruised to the doubles victory, with Kristina Kukaras and Emilia Namyslo winning 6-1 on court two and Valeriia Avdeeva and Maria Guirguis clinching the doubles point with a 6-4 win on court one. The third doubles court went unfinished, with the set tied at 4-4.

In singles, the Trojan's dominance continued. Avdeeva added to the Trojans lead with an impressive 6-1, 6-4 win on court four. Louisiana responded with its only point of the day on court five to make it 2-1.
In the top spot, Kukaras picked up her first singles win since March 10, as she had a decisive 7-6 (10-8), 6-0 win to make it 3-1. For the third consecutive match, Hagar Ramadan-Amin clinched the team victory in the number two singles spot. She won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
