No. 74 Troy Drops Match at Georgia State

ATLANTA – The Troy men's tennis team dropped consecutive matches for the first time this season, losing 4-2 at Georgia State on Sunday morning.
Troy (18-6, 3-4 SBC) won the doubles point but lost the match for the first time this season after Georgia State (8-12, 3-3) rallied from the 1-0 deficit to win four of the six singles matches to claim the victory.
The Panthers tied the match at 1-all with a win on court four before Mario Martinez Serrano gave the Trojans a 2-1 advantage with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court one as he improved to 21-2 on the year on court one. However, Georgia State picked up wins on courts two, five and six to clinch the victory.
Troy closes out the regular season next Sunday at home against Coastal Carolina before the Sun Belt Tournament the following week in Rome, Ga.
