AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Troy men's golf team sits in 13^th place following Saturday's opening two rounds of the Augusta/Haskins Award Invitational at the Forest Hills Golf Club. The loaded field features five teams ranked inside the top 26 nationally, five players rank in the top 15 of the latest PGA Tour University Rankings and four players ranked in the top 15 of the latest Clippd Rankings.

Jake Springer is Troy's clubhouse leader after shooting 3-over on Saturday with rounds of 73 and 74 to find himself in a tie for 32^nd place overall. He carded four birdies on the day, with three coming on par-5 holes.

Troy shot matching rounds of 12-over 300 and the Trojans sit in 13^th place, just three shots behind Mississippi State and 10 shots back of South Florida in ninth place. North Carolina leads the field at 16-under par, 10 shots better than both Augusta and Texas.

Brantley Scott is a shot back of Springer in a tie for 39^th place after shooting 76 in the opening round before battling back with three birdies en route to a round of 72 in the afternoon. Playing for the first time this spring, George Burch is tied for 50^th place at 8-over thanks to a team-best six birdies across his two rounds, while Gage Carnes is tied for 57^th place at 9-over with rounds of 77 and 76. Laurenz Kubin shot matching 78s and is tied for 68^th place.

Troy wraps play Sunday in a threesome with Army and Mercer, beginning at 8:40 a.m. (CT).
