KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Pablo Gracia fired a final round 1-over and shot 1-under for the week to lead the Troy men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate, which wrapped up play on Tuesday at The Club at Irish Creek.

Troy entered the day in second place but couldn't replicate its second-round performance as the Trojans shot 12-over in Tuesday's final round after a 6-under in the second round. Catawba, the nation's ninth-ranked team at the NCAA Division II level, won the team title at 4-over, followed by App State (+6), Old Dominion (+7) and Troy (+14).

The Trojans led the field with 177 pars over the three rounds and finished +19 on the par 4s, also best in the field. Individually, Lawton Emblom and Gracia sat first and second in pars, with 42 and 41, respectively, while Gracia was even on the par 4s (tied for second) and Lee Poppell was 1-over (tied for fourth).

Poppell was the lone Troy with multiple birdies on his card on Tuesday as he carded one on the seventh and a second on the 13th as he shot 4-over on the day to finish in a tie for 24th place.

Gracia finished Tuesday's round with 17 pars and a lone bogey on the par-4 fifth to finish in a tie for seventh place, four shots up on Poppell. Lawton Emblom, Thomas Crane and Grant Yerger all tied for 27th place at 7-over, while Haston Emblom tied for 36th place at 10-over and Pierce Becker finished in a tie for 50th at 13-over.

Troy wraps its regular season next week at the Mossy Oak Collegiate, hosted by Mississippi State at the Mossy Oak Golf Course.
