Meet Information
What: Doc Anderson Invitational
When: Friday, April 12 | Saturday, April 13
Where: Jesse H. Colley Track | Troy Track and Field/Soccer Complex

The Trojans are coming off a challenging weekend at the Crimson Tide Invitational, where they competed against some of the best track and field teams and athletes in the country. During the two-day event, Troy claimed four podium spots.
Brooke Burns placed second in the women's hammer, Alejandra Gutierrez Fuente placed second in the women's triple jump, Biniosa Ezukuse placed third in the women's shot put and Tydreke Thomas placed third in the men's 100m.
Cole Stewart will look to bring home the top spot in the men's javelin on Friday evening. The senior thrower set his PR last weekend with a mark of 68.11m, which got him fifth place at the Crimson Tide Invite. His PR is over eight meters better than the next closest competitor he will face this weekend. Javon Osbourne – who has been dominant in the shot put and discus this season – will also compete in both of those events.
The women will be well-represented, with five competitors in the triple jump, 200m, and hammer throw. Fuente, Kady Schwietz and Sydney Lockner will compete in the women's heptathlon over the course of each day.
Troy athletes will be participating in 39 of 55 events being held over the course of the meet.
On Saturday at 11 a.m., Troy will recognize 18 of its seniors in a short ceremony on the track facing the press box.
At the 2019 meet, Troy won 18 events and saw its athletes set 14 personal bests.
Though from Coach
Director of Track and Field Marc Davis gave his thoughts on the excitement surrounding Troy's first home meet in five years:
"We are very excited about hosting our first home meet in five years. Definitely a long time coming. The athletes deserve to showcase their talents in front of their peers. It is a ton of work, well worth the effort once everything is all said and done. From my staff to our administration to our facilities staff, the effort to make this a great experience has been great. I applaud everyone who has been on board. Our athletes are ready to do some great things. Now, we just need the crowd to lift them up to great performances!"
