No. 72 Troy Hosts Tennessee State on Monday

TROY, Ala. – Winners of five straight games, the No. 72 Troy men's tennis team returns to the Lunsford Tennis Complex on Monday against Tennessee State for its final tune up before opening Sun Belt Conference player later in the week at No. 42 Old Dominion. First serve is set for 11 a.m. against the Tigers.
Troy (13-2) is 8-0 at home this season and have vaulted into the national rankings behind a revamped doubles lineup and a strong singles core.
Head coach Rolando Vargas deployed new doubles pairings before Troy's matchup at No. 53 South Florida on Feb. 24, the Trojans are 11-1 across the three doubles courts in the five matches since.
In singles, Troy has won 78.6 percent of its matches, led by a perfect 15-0 mark from Mario Martinez Serrano on court one, double-digit victories from Noah Martens (12-2) and Yeray Andres Pastor (11-2) and a resurgent Luciano Alcocer, who has won five straight matches.
Tennessee State (3-11) has won two of its last three matches, coming off a narrow 4-3 loss at Southern Miss on Sunday. The Tigers have wins over Lipscomb, New Orleans and Nicholls State this season.
