Men’s Golf Resumes Fall Season with Graeme McDowell Invitational

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team embarks on its second fall season tournament from Sunday, September 24 to Tuesday, September 26 at the Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, Alabama, with the Graeme McDowell Invitational.
UAB plays host to 13 teams, including Sun Belt opponents ULM and Louisiana. The Trojans send Jake Springer, Pablo Gracia Gage Carnes, Brantley Scott and Laurenz Kubin as their primary lineup, with Will Simpson competing individually.

The Trojans return after kicking off the 2023-24 season with the Argent Financial Classic from Sept. 10-12. The three-day tournament wrapped up with the Trojans shooting 12-over to finish 13th overall.
Springer stood above the rest, tied for 19th individually as he finished 1-under par. Over the course of three days, Springer carded 11 birdies. Gracia wasn't far behind, shooting 2-under on the final day to tie for 23rd. The remainder of Troy finished tied for 52nd (Lee Poppell), 67th (Scott) and 86th (George Burch).
The last time Troy competed in a tournament hosted by UAB was Sept. 26-27 in Gadsden, Alabama. Springer is the sole returner from last year's tournament when he shot 238 to match Burch in 50th.
