Men's Tennis Continues Perfect Season With Win at Stetson

DeLAND. Fla. – The Troy men's tennis continued its perfect start to the season with a big road win at Stetson University. The Trojans started their week with a 6-1 victory over the Hatters on Sunday.
Troy had the advantage for the start as Stetson only had four players. In doubles Troy started with a win on court three due to a Stetson forfeit. Troy took advantage of the free victory with a quick, 6-0 win on court two by the pair of Carles Anton and Pelayo Antuna to earn the all important doubles points.
In singles the Trojans again were awarded two points because Stetson didn't have anyone to play on courts five and six. Due to the forfeits Troy started singles with a 3-0 advantage, needing only one victory to clinch the match.
The clinching match came on court three with senior Amer Bedwan earning an easy 6-0, 6-3 victory to give Troy the fourth point of the afternoon. The Trojans didn't let up though and continued to pick up victories from Carles Anton and Vito Llinares on couorts two and four.
