TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team (5-0) will look to continue its hot start to the 2021 season as they make the trek to Florida to take on Stetson and North Florida. The Trojans will be playing their first match in over a week when they take the court on Sunday against Stetson.
Â
This will be the second straight season that Troy and Stetson have met in a dual match. The Trojans traveled to DeLand last season and fell to the Hatters in a close 3-4 decision. In that meeting, three of the six singles matches went the full three sets. Troy and North Florida will be meeting for the first time since the 2017-18 season when Troy fell 1-6 in Jacksonville.
Â
Stetson enters the weekend having not played any matches yet. The Hatters will travel to Tampa to play USF on Saturday before hosting Troy on Sunday. North Florida enters the weekend with a 1-1 record. After opening their 2021 campaign with a 0-5 loss at Florida State, the Ospreys defeated Georgia Southern 4-3 in Statesboro. UNF will host Flagler College on Friday.
