Men’s Tennis Closes Fall Season

ATHENS, Ga. – The Troy men's tennis team ended its fall season at the ITA Sectional Championships on Friday, with Luciano Alcocer and Yeray Andres Pastor dropping a match to Auburn in the consolation draw.
The Trojans played a tightly contested match with Josph Phillips and Nicholas Heng, falling 6-4, 6-4 after rain delays moved the match indoors.
Alcocer and Andres Pastor's sectional bid was the end to a stellar fall season, which included a win over Auburn's Billy and Freddy Blaydes, who were seeded No. 1 at the ITA Southern Regional last month. The pair of Blaydes is now in the semifinal of the Sectional Championships after also qualifying.
As a team, the Trojans look forward to spring play.
