Men's Tennis Solid on Day One of Mercer Gridiron Classic

MACON, Ga. – The Troy men's tennis team enjoyed a successful day Friday at the Mercer Gridiron Classic, with the Trojans winning both of their doubles matches while going 7-3 on the singles courts.
The Classic is loaded with players as the event features six singles flights and a trio of doubles flights.
Francisco Erramuspe and Nicolas Rodriguez both went 2-0 on the day in singles. Manuel Bernard won his second round matchup following a first-round bye in singles and took care of business in doubles with his partner Vito Llinares.
Maxime Hillhouse split his singles matches on Friday and picked up a doubles win with Noah Martens, who split his singles matches.
Play continues Saturday with third and fourth round matchups in singles and second round play in doubles.
