Troy Concludes Fall Schedule at FSU Showdown

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team wraps up fall action over the weekend in the Florida State All-Conference Showdown.

The event will feature players from 15 schools and will begin at 8 a.m. (CT) each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will have 10 singles brackets of eight players and one round robin bracket of four.

Troy's Matea Mihaljevic teamed up with South Alabama's Leslie Soto Bustamante to win the Nancy Pate Doubles Draw in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Oct. 27. Tingting Pei, Maria Casas Blas and Chunxi Guo each won consolation matches to finish the tournament on a victorious note.

Celia Montero Estevan leads the Trojans with a 7-3 mark in singles play, while Mihaljevic has posted a 4-1 record with various doubles partners.

In last season's FSU Showdown, Casas Blas advanced to win her consolation final over Furman's Hannah Ferrett.
