Troy Men’s and Women’s Tennis Set for Senior Day

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's and women's tennis teams will host their final regular season matches on Sunday when they each play at the Lunsford Tennis Complex. The Troy men will host UAB at 10 a.m. while the women will host Florida A&M at 11 a.m.
Prior to the men's match, both teams will honor their seniors. The men will honor Gabriel Dias while the women will honor Brooke Durden and Hannah Toro.
The No. 73 Troy men (22-6) are coming off of a road win over No. 67 North Florida on Thursday and have won 12 of their 13 matches. Dias and Hassan Ndayishimye lead the Trojans in singles at 13-5 and 19-5, respectively, this season. Giovani Samaha has posted a 16-3 singles record and had won nine straight matches.
The Troy women (9-8) are also coming off of a big win, topping Samford at home on Wednesday by a 4-3 score. Trang Huynh leads the Trojans with a 14-3 singles record with 11 straight wins. Huynh is also a combined 13-2 in doubles play with partners Anja Cosovic and Jiayuan Xue.
UAB (6-10) won its most recent match over Jackson State, 4-0, on Wednesday. However, prior to that, the Blazers had lost five straight matches. UAB will host UAH on Friday before traveling to Troy for Sunday's match.
Florida A&M (7-10) hasn't played since March 28 and 29 when the Lady Rattlers lost to South Carolina State and swept North Carolina A&T, respectively.
Following Sunday's matches, the Trojans will travel to New Orleans for the Sun Belt Championships, which begin on Thursday.
