Tennis Set to Host Troy Trojan Jamboree

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's and women's tennis teams will host the Troy Trojan Jamboree this weekend at the Lunsford Tennis Complex, beginning on Friday and running through Sunday. Admission to all matches is FREE.
The tournament will feature 10 teams, including on the men's side No. 20 Tennessee, and 15 duel matches throughout the weekend. The Troy men will play five matches, including against Tennessee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, while the Troy women will play two matches.
Joining Troy and Tennessee, on the men's side, will be Alabama A&M, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern, Nicholls and South Carolina State. On the women's side, Alabama A&M and Nicholls will join Troy.
The Troy men (8-4) will open the tournament on Friday with a 10 a.m. contest against Alabama A&M before making a quick turn around to take on Nicholls at 12 p.m. The Trojans will play a Sun Belt match on Saturday when they take on Georgia Southern at 12 p.m.
Troy will then take on South Carolina State at 10 a.m. on Sunday before hosting the nationally-ranked Volunteers at 2 p.m.
The Troy women (2-4) will take on Nicholls at 3 p.m. on Friday before hosting Alabama A&M at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
