Trojans Host Pair of Home Matches

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team is set to host a pair of matches this weekend at the Lunsford Tennis Complex. Troy will first take on Kennesaw State on Friday at 2 p.m. before hosting Sun Belt opponent Arkansas State on Sunday at 12 p.m.
Troy (3-5) is coming off of a road win over a ranked Nicholls State team last weekend. The Trojans cruised past the No. 72 Colonels, 4-1, to pick up their first win over a ranked opponent this season.
Trang Huynh defeated Nicholls' Stephanie Barnett, who is now ranked No. 61 in the ITA National Singles rankings, to lead the Trojans. Huynh was named the Sun Belt Co-Female Athlete of the Week for her efforts.
Kennesaw State (4-3) is coming off of a 4-3 win over Georgia Southern last weekend. The Owls have won four of five after starting 0-2 with the lone loss over that span coming to Georgia State.
Arkansas Statee (2-3) is coming off of a 6-1 win over Central Arkansas on Tuesday. The Red Wolves have played one Sun Belt opponent thus far this season, knocking off UL Lafayette at home.
Arkansas State and Kennesaw State will play each other at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
