Trojans Set for Road, Ranked Matches

ATLANTA and NEW ORLEANS – The Troy men's and women's tennis teams will each travel to face a ranked opponent on the road on Saturday. The Troy men take on No. 70 Tulane at 12 p.m., while the Troy women face Sun Belt foe and No. 74 Georgia State at 1 p.m. CT.
The Troy men (0-4) are still looking for their first win after an extremely challenging opening week. The Trojans have already played three ranked teams, falling to No. 33 Alabama, No. 36 Florida State and No. 28 Auburn.
Tulane (2-0) swept through its opening weekend competition last Sunday, defeating Jackson State and Alcorn State, each by a 7-0 score.
The Troy women (1-2) have had a week break since their last match. The Trojans defeated USC Upstate to open their season, but fell to No. 13 Clemson and Charleston Southern the next day.
Georgia State (0-0) will play its first official match of the seson against Troy on Saturday. The Panthers are scheduled to scrimmage NAIA member Brenau and junior college Georgia Perimeter on Friday.
