Trojans Drop Tight Match at Ranked Georgia State

ATLANTA – The Troy women's tennis dropped a tightly contested match at No. 74 Georgia State, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. The Trojans were down 3-0, but won three straight singles matches to get back into the game.
Troy (1-3, 0-1) dropped the doubles point to the nationally-ranked Panthers, then lost at No. 4 and No. 1 singles to fall into a 3-0 hole.
Anja Cosovic got Troy on the board with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles. Trang Huynh made it two straight for the Trojans with a 7-6 (1), 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.
With their backs still against the wall, Margot De Haan came away with a match tying win at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-2. However, shortly after, Georgia State (1-0, 1-0) won the remaining match, at No. 6 singles, to take the 4-3 win.

The Trojans return to the court next Saturday when they travel to take on No. 23 Auburn.
