JONESBORO, Ark. – The Troy women's tennis team played its second road, Sun Belt match in as many days, and picked up its second straight win, knocking off Arkansas State, 4-1, on Sunday.

Troy (2-1, 2-0) and Arkansas State (1-1, 0-1) played singles matches first, with doubles coming only if necessary. With just three courts to play on, the two sides sent their second, fourth and sixth singles out first.

Troy took all three of those matches, beginning with Anja Cosovic at fourth singles who won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. At second singles, Troy's Hannah Toro won, also in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

The lone three-set match of the day came at sixth singles, with Troy's Rosaura Ramirez-Vega winning, 6-2, 6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-5). Ramirez-Vega had a chance to win in the second set, with match points in the tiebreaker, but the senior fought back and took the third set.

Ramirez-Vega's win gave Troy a 3-1 lead as Karoline Grymel fell first singles in straight sets, but Lyubov Dorofeeva clinched the match for Troy with a convincing, 6-1, 6-4, win at third singles.
