Sun Belt Releases Tennis Championship Brackets
4/17/2012 3:45:00 PM | Tennis (W)
Men's Bracket | Women's Bracket | Championship Central
UPDATE: Due to the Sun Belt Conference office receiving incorrect ITA rankings prior to announcing seeds for this week's tennis championships, the women's seeding has been changed.
The Trojans remain the seventh seed in the tournament but will now open with 10th seed UALR, instead of Louisiana-Lafayette who is now the 11th seed. Also, the Trojans potential second round opponent is now second seed FIU, as opposed Denver who was originally named the second seed.
Troy defeated UALR 6-1 earlier in the regular season. The match is still slated to begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday in Denton, Texas on the campus of North Texas.
DENTON, Texas – The Sun Belt Conference released the brackets for this week's Sun Belt Tennis Championships on Tuesday, with both the Troy men's team earning the sixth seed and the women's team earning the seventh seed.

The Troy (5-17) men earned the No.6 seed in the seven-team tournament and will open up with No.3 Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. The winner will take on the winner of Middle Tennessee and WKU in the semifinals on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
The Trojans and Ragin' Cajuns did not play in the regular season.
The Troy (10-9) women earned the No.7 seed in their 11-team bracket, setting up a first-round match with No.10 UALR on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. The winner will take on No.2 FIU in the quarterfinals on Friday at 8:00 a.m.
