Women’s Golf Tied for Eighth at ULM Invitational

MONROE, La. – Paced by a trio of 76s among their counting golfers on Tuesday, the Troy women's golf team wrapped play at the ULM Invitational as the Trojans finished in a tie for eighth place.

Victoria Stutts, Manya Saini and Laura Fangmeyer combined to card four birdies and shoot 4-over each during the final round at the Bayou DeSaird Country Club, while Katelynn Altese, who was playing as an individual, led Troy with a 3-over 75 on Tuesday.

Stutts finished as Troy's top bag, shooting 5-over for the week and finishing in a tie for 20^th place, while Altese and Saini were two shots back in a tie for 25^th place. Stutts carded eight birdies over her three rounds, the 12^thmost in the field, while Saini's sixth were tied for the 17^th most.

Troy slipped a pair of spots on the leaderboard into a tie for eighth after shooting 19-over on the day. The Trojans finished tied with former Sun Belt foe Little Rock, while Southern Miss won the team title at 5-under and ULM finished second at 1-under.

Fangmeyer closed the week at 10-over and tied for 32^nd, while Alyssa Mercado carded a birdie on the par-5 third en route to a 79 and Mathilda Ringblom birdied the par-5 14^th in her round of 80; the pair finished tied for 40^th and 43^rd, respectively.

Troy closes out its regular season on April 7-8 at The "MO" Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M at The Traditions Club.
