Watson and Warner Take on NCAA South Regional

TROY, Ala. – Sophomore Lane Watson and junior Keith Warner are set to represent the Trojans at the NCAA South Regional on Friday, Nov. 14, at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
"Lane and Keith are coming off a solid conference meet, running the second- and fifth-fastest Troy 8K times, respectively, in the record book," head coach Brian Cunningham said. "They are fit, and I think the extra distance and rhythm breakers on the course will help them. I'm excited to see them represent Troy against some of the top distance runners in the country."
The pair will compete in the men's 10K at 9:30 a.m. Friday at John Hunt Park against some of the top teams in the South, including Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Watson and Warner are sending the Trojans back to the NCAA South Regional on the men's side for the first time since 2022.
The pair is coming off a strong showing at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in the men's 8K, where Watson placed 22nd with a personal-best time of 25:05.69 and Warner finished 28th with a personal-best 25:15.55.
Troy's duo combined for four top-30 finishes, claiming the top times in the 8K through 2025 for the Trojans in the SBC Championship. They also set the best times for Troy in its lone 8.057K, finishing 92nd (Watson) and 98th (Warner) at the Crimson Classic. Watson holds the top finish among the two with a fifth-place result at the Azalea City Classic at 23:13.00.
