TROY, Ala. – Coming off a successful run at the Green Wave Invitational two weeks ago, the Troy women's golf team is back in action this week at the Pirate Collegiate Classic hosted by East Carolina at the par-72, 5.991-yard Greenville Country Club.
The Trojans finished third at the Green Wave Invitational behind a trio of top-10 finishes by Laura Fangmeyer, Victoria Stutts and Alyssa Mercado. Troy finished strong at TPC Louisiana, shooting even-par as a team in the final round behind Fangmeyer's 5-under 67.
Fangemyer, who tied for second at the Tulane event, leads Troy with a 0.20 score vs. par for the year, while Stutts is close behind at 1.33 and Mercado carries a 1.67 mark into the week; both Stutts and Mercado made their season debuts at the Green Wave Invitational.
Head coach Randy Keck is rolling with his same lineup for the Pirate Collegiate Classic as Manya Saini (5.80) and Katelynn Altese (6.60) will round out the number four and five spots on the team card.
Troy is scheduled to play Monday's 36-hole opening day along with High Point and Richmond beginning at 6:40 a.m. (CT) off the 10th tee.
