TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team looks to continue its impressive start to the 2024 spring season as it heads to Tennessee for a pair of road matches against Belmont and Middle Tennessee this weekend.
On Saturday, the Trojans head to Nashville for a 2 p.m. match against Belmont (5-3) before going to Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Sunday for a morning contest against Middle Tennessee (5-6).

New-comer Gabrielle Leslie continues to be the Trojans top singles player this season with a perfect 6-0 record in dual matches and is 14-4 overall on the season. Her undefeated record this spring has come in impressive fashion, as the junior from Barbados has yet to drop a set in singles play.
Freshman Leena Metwally has also provided consistent play in singles action, as she is 5-1 this spring. Her lone loss came against North Alabama last Thursday.
The Trojans have won the doubles point in four of their six matches so far. Leading the doubles play for Troy has been the duo of Kristina Kukaras and Maria Guirguis with a 4-2 record this spring. Valeriia Avdeeva and Leena Metwally have also put together a 4-2 record.
