Troy Track and Field Finishes Indoor Season

BIRMINGHAM, Ala—Troy Track and Field finished their indoor slate on Tuesday evening at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championship at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Biniosa Ezukuse finished her indoor season strong with a sixth-place finish in the shot put when she had a mark of 14.89 meters. She was followed by Joy Edward, who finished ninth and tossed 13.86 meters.
Alejandra Gutierrez Fuente continued to shine on the field, as she jumped a personal best in the triple jump at 12.17 meters, finishing ninth. Jordan Bailey stayed inside the top 20, finishing 17 with a leap of 11.73 meters.
On the track, Cadi Rowe clocked a time of 9:58.96 in the women's 3000 meters, finishing 11.
The women's 4x4 clocked in with a season-best 3:54.14 the tandem of Kasia Cooper, Kady Schwietz, Gutierrez Fuente and finished first in their heat, sixth overall.

The Trojans will open the outdoor season on March 15 where they will compete in the South Alabama Invite in Mobile, Ala.
