Trojans Wrap Up Indoor Track & Field Regular Season at Bulldog Open

Birmingham, Ala.- The Trojans wrapped up the indoor regular season from the Birmingham CrossPlex, finishing with 10 top-five finishes at the Bulldog open Saturday afternoon.

The theme of the indoor season of breaking school records continued this weekend as Lauren Locke set a new Troy school record in the women's mile with a time of 5:00.08, placing her in second in the event. Cadi Rowe finished behind her in fifth.

After multiple second-place finishes earlier in the season, Julian Martin-Rogers saw a first-place finish in the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.11. They were followed by Eugene Vickers in second place finishing in 8.24.

Jaggered Moore continued his strong season in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.05m for a third-place finish. Biniosa Ezukuse also placed third in the women's weight throw.

Both men's and women's 60m saw Trojan's place in the top five, with Shanyah Wahington coming in third on the women's side, finishing with a time of 7.60, while Jaleel Gilbert placed fourth on the men's side in 6.95.

The top two times in the women's 800m have come from Tanner Guest after she placed third this weekend with a time of 2:18.99.
The indoor regular season will come to a close at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships and the Trojans will travel back to Birmingham February 20-21 before the outdoor season begins.
