Track and Field Lands 11 on Sun Belt All-Conference Teams

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Sun Belt announced its 2026 outdoor track and field postseason honors on Tuesday, with 11 Trojans earning all-conference recognition following their performances at the conference championship meet over the weekend.
Troy finished the championships with five first-team selections, headlined by Rachel Whyte, who broke the school record in the 400m en route to a conference title. Whyte ran 52.56, the fastest time in the Sun Belt this season.
Whyte also joined Jasmine Jimenez, Aaliyah Murphy, and Haley Wilson to win the final event of the meet, taking gold in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:36.51.
Murphy also captured an individual title in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 58.43. The mark was both a school record and the fastest time in the conference this season.
On the men's side, Ethan Forbes earned first-team honors in the 800m after winning the event with a Troy-record time of 1:48.88.
The quartet of Michael Eady, Travis Massey, Kasahn Rivers, and Tydreke Thomas earned second-team honors following a silver-medal finish in the 4x100m relay. Their time of 39.67 marked Troy's fastest performance in the event since 2019.
Faith Jones and Shanyah Washington rounded out Troy's all-conference selections with second-place finishes in the 100m hurdles and 100m, respectively. Jones ran 13.48, while Washington clocked 11.22 - the second-fastest time in the conference this season.
