Women's Tennis Concludes Regular Season in Georgia

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team will conclude its 2021 regular season this weekend in the state of Georgia. The Trojans will kickoff their weekend in Atlanta on Saturday when Troy takes on Georgia State before concluding the weekend in Statesboro against Georgia Southern.
Troy enters the weekend with a 6-9 overall record and a 2-5 record inside the Sun Belt Conference. Away from the Lunsford Tennis Complex the Trojans are 1-6 on the year. Troy has battled both Georgia State and Georgia Southern earlier this season. The Trojans defeated the Panthers 4-1 back on March 20 but fell to the Eagles 3-4 just a day later.
On the year, Troy has been led by Michelle Ncube and Anastasiia Khrustaleva who are currently tied for the team lead in singles wins with seven. On the doubles side, Matea Mihaljevic leads the way with eight wins.
Georgia State enters the weekend with 2-16 overall record and an 0-8 record in the Sun Belt Conference, while Georgia Southern has a 14-8 overall record and an 8-2 SBC record.
Following this weekend's match, Troy will head to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament which will be held April 15-18 in Peachtree City, Ga. at the Peachtree City Tennis Center. Troy will find out its seed following Sunday's match.
