TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team is back at home for two matches this weekend when it plays host to Samford and Florida A&M. The Trojans and Bulldogs will square off at 1:30 p.m. on Friday while Troy will host the Rattlers on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Trojans enter the weekend with a record of 2-4 while Samford is 5-5 and Florida A&M is 0-3. The Trojans, who have been idle since Feb. 28, enter Friday on one match losing streak after falling at Chattanooga.
Troy is 2-3 in its recent history vs Samford. The two teams last met in Birmingham back in 2019, a match the Bulldogs won 203. Troy has won the last two meetings at the Lunsford Tennis Complex back in 2015 and 2013. Against Florida A&M, Troy has won five straight matches with the most recent meeting coming back in 2015. The Trojans have not lost a point to the Rattlers since 2009, a match they won 6-1. Troy has also won three straight vs A&M in Troy.
