Women's Tennis falls at Chattanooga Sunday

CHATTANOOGA, Ala. – Playing in the second match in as many days, the Troy women's tennis team fell on Sunday at Chattanooga by a score of 4-2. Troy moves to 2-4 on the season while Chattanooga improves to 7-1.
Playing indoors, Chattanooga took the doubles point to take the early advantage with victories on courts three two. Troy was in a battle on court one when play was stopped due to the Mocs having clinched the point.
In singles, Chattanooga extended its lead to 2-0 with a win on court two. The Trojans got onto the board with a win by Shevita Aulana on court three. After the Mocs took a 3-1 lead with a won on court one, the Trojans once again cut into the deficit with a come-from-behind victory by Michelle Ncube on court four. Chattanooga clinched the match on court five to seal the victory.
Troy will be back at home for two matches next week when it hosts Samford on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and Florida A&M on Saturday at 11 a.m.
