TROY, Ala. – A few days later than expected due to weather, the Troy women's tennis team is finally making the trek to Mobile, Ala. to take on South Alabama in the team's first Sun Belt Conference match of the year. The two programs will meet at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Trojans enter the match with a record of 1-2 while South Alabama is 5-1. After opening the year with a 5-2 win at Alabama State, the Trojans have dropped their last two matched to Alabama and Mercer. The Jaguars enter the match on a one match winning streak after defeating UAB 4-1 on Sunday.
Through three matches, Troy is being led by freshman Anastasiia Khrustaleva who is 2-1 in dual singles matches this season. In doubles action, Shevita Aulana lead the team with a 2-1 record. South Alabama is led by Yu Fujioka who has posted a record of 5-1 so far in singles.
