Men's Tennis Wins in a Brave Effort Over Alcorn State

ALCORN, Miss. – The Troy men's tennis team earned their second shutout of the young season with its 7-0 victory at Alcorn State on Sunday. With the win the Trojans improve to 3-3 on the season.
With Alcorn State no able to field a full doubles lineup the Trojans started doubles action with the lead and only needing to win on doubles match for the point. Troy would secure the point on court No. 1 with Pelayo Antuna and Carles Anton making their season debuts at the top spot.
In singles the Trojans got things started on court four with a quick two set victory from Pak Hong Chan, the first victory in his young career. Antuna and Carles picked up right where they left off in doubles, each earning two set victories with Anton earning his first match clincher of his career. With the match in hand Troy continued its strong play against the Braves, earning victories from Javier Llinares on court five and Oskar Michalek on court two.
