Â
NEARING A MILESTONE
Head coach Chanda Rigby is inching closer to a career milestone with win number 150 of her Troy career. Rigby, who has won over 370 games between the junior college and Division I levels, will become just the second coach of the Troy women's basketball program to have won, 150 career games.
Â
MAY I ASSIST YOU
Troy spread the ball around effectively against SE Louisiana, earning an assist on 21 of its 29 made field goals. Last season the season-high for assists was 23 against Texas State and Arkansas State. In both of those games they assisted on 23 of the 33 made field goals. Senior Emely Rosario has been a huge reason to the teams passing success so far this season. She posted a career-high eight assists in the Trojans opening night win over SE Louisiana and has 12 total assists on the year.
Â
CLUTCH FREE THROWS
In the opening weekend of the season Troy made some tough free throws in the final five minutes of both games. In the final five minutes of the two games the Trojans shot 73 percent from the charity stripe. A trio of Trojans were perfect at the line in the final five minutes as Freshman Jelissa Reese and senior Jasmine Robinson each went 2-for-2 while freshman Kennedi White was 1-for-1.
