Charles Anton and Oskar Michalek advance to Sunday's singles semifinal round
Singles/Doubles Draws Day 3
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Men's Tennis posted another solid finish on the second day of competition at the UTC Invite in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Saturday as two advanced to Sunday's semifinals.
Charles Anton and Oskar Michalek navigated their way to the semifinals with two convincing wins on Saturday. Anton earned a dominating 6-0, 6-1 victory over UAB's Tom El Safadi while Michalek was equally as impressive with a strong 6-3, 6-4 win over Jan Pallares of Memphis.
On Sunday Anton will take on Memphis' Jeremy Taylor with Michalek doing battle against Chattanooga's Niklas Gerdes.
In doubles, Troy saw the duo of Michalek and Javier Llinares defeat Eastern Illinois' Kyrillou/Hernandez 6-2 before being knocked off by Memphis; Palles/Sydow. In the quarterfinals the pair of Anton and Tasker fell to Taylor and Sullivan of Memphis, 6-0.
