Women’s Golf in the Mix After Day One of Brickyard; Final Round Canceled

Final Results
Tuesday's final round was canceled due to rain making the results following 36 holes final.
MACON, Georgia – Bianca Lohabuer carded three birdies in tough conditions to lead Troy in Monday's opening two rounds of the Brickyard Collegiate. Lohbauer is Troy's leader in the clubhouse at 3-over par while Troy is in ninth place in the 13-team field; the Trojans are just nine shots back of fourth.
Lohbauer opened the day with a 3-over 75 with one birdie in the first round before carding a pair of birdies and just two bogeys in the second round for an even-par 72. She is just three shots back of her second straight top-10 finish.
The Trojans shot 598 on Monday to sit a shot back of Sacramento State and one shot ahead of No. 37 Kennesaw State. No. 29 North Carolina and UTSA are tied for fourth place just nine shots ahead of Troy, while Mercer holds a one-shot lead over Charlotte.
Nicole Lorup had an eventful opening round with four birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey. When the dust settled, the Troy freshman shot a 1-over 73 and followed with a 5-over 78 in the afternoon round.
Lorup is tied for 33rd place overall with teammate Judith Castro who fired rounds of 76 and 75 on Monday with one birdie in each of the two rounds. Lindsey Harrison and Sarah Harrison, not related, are tied for 47th place at 9-over par.
Troy is paired with UCF, Sacramento State and Kennesaw State for Tuesday's final round which is a shotgun start beginning at 7:30 a.m.
