Women’s Golf Set for Final Conference Tune Up

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's golf heads to Macon, Georgia for the Brickyard Collegiate at the Brickyard Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday; it is the final tournament for the Trojans before the Sun Belt Championship.
Troy is coming off its second strong finish of the spring after finishing fourth at the Memphis Intercollegiate last week behind the strong play of Bianca Lohbauer and Nicole Lorup who finished 10th and 11th, respectively.
Lorup, a true freshman leads the Trojans with a 2.38 score vs. par on the year which ranks as the fourth best in the Sun Belt Conference, behind three seniors. She has a team-leading four rounds under par this year and three top-10 finishes in eight tournaments.
Lohbauer's 10th-place finish in Memphis was her second in three spring events and she carries a team-best 73.44 stroke average in the spring to go along with an overall 3.29 score vs. par for the year, which ranks her 11th in the league.
Sarah Harrison, who is responsible for the lowest round of the year by a Sun Belt golfer with a 65, has four top-25 finishes on the year and carries a 3.71 score vs. par and 74.56 spring average to the Brickyard. Lindsey Harrison (5.44) makes her seventh appearance of the season and second of the spring, while Judith Castro (6.11) is in the lineup for the third straight event.
Troy currently sits third in the Sun Belt with a 12.96 team score vs. par with the Sun Belt Championship looming April 15-17 at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Field: Troy,Mercer, Central Florida, Charlotte, Chattanooga, ETSU, Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State, Mississippi State, North Florida, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Old Dominion, Sacramento State and UTSA.
T-Time: Teams will play a shotgun start for Monday's 36 holes with Troy beginning on holes 13 thru 17. The Trojans will play alongside Sacramento State, Florida Gulf Coast and a group of individuals starting at 7:30 a.m. (CT).
