Final Results
PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO – Nicole Lorup carded an eagle and shot a 1-over 73 to lead Troy in the final round of the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational at the El Tigre Golf and Country Club on Saturday. The Trojans finished 11th in the 12-team field, while Lorup led Troy for the fifth time in seven tournaments on the season.
Lorup's eagle was Troy's third of the tournament tying the Trojans with No. 10 Arizona for the most in the field. All three of Troy's eagles came on the par-5, 481-yard fourth hole. The Trojan freshman tied for 26th place overall at 10-over for the weekend.
Bianca Lohbauer carded a team-best four birdies on Saturday and shot a 3-over 75 to close the weekend in a tie for 33rd place at 12-over, while Sarah Harrison tied for 39th place at 14-over following a round of 2-over with two birdies.
Playing for the first time this spring, Lindsey Harrison tied for 51st place at 18-over and Camila Ugalde finished 59th overall at 23-over. Troy's 299 in Saturday's round matched its 10th-best of the season.
No. 10 Arizona ran away with the team title winning by 36 shots over Fresno State and No. 35 Kennesaw State.
Troy will take the week off before heading to Memphis, Tenn., and the Ridgeway Country Club for the Memphis Intercollegiate on April 1-2.
