Troy Locked In for Conference Championships

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's and women's cross country team trek to Hampton, Ga., to compete in the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Championships at the Nash Farm Battlefield Park. The women's 5K race will begin at 10 a.m. with men's 8K following at 11 a.m.

"I'm excited to watch our women and men compete," head coach Elliot Blount said. "I'm very proud of them because they challenge themselves in so many ways on and off the course. Tomorrow, we look to move the program forward another step with these two young teams."

The men will return all seven runners from the UAB Classic where Bradley Dixon led the men for the fifth consecutive race with a 38th-place finish in 25:21.1, a personal best 8k time.

On the women's side, Blount returns six of the seven runners from last race with Cadi Rowe reentering the lineup.

Last time out, Macki Walsh paced the Trojans placing 35th in 21:43.1. Tanner Guest was Troy's second-highest finisher coming in with a 70th-place finish out of 215 runners.
