TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team will be traveling to Auburn to compete in the 2019 ITA Southern Regional Tournament. The event will be the Trojans final fall tournament before they begin preparing for the spring dual season.

The Trojans will be well represented at the ITA Regional event with seven individuals making the trip. Competing in singles play will be Pelayo Antuna, Carles Anton, Oskar Michalek, Christopher Tasker and Javier Llinares. Troy will have three pairs competing in doubles with Antuna and Anton, Michalek and Tasker and Trey Whittaker and Andy Romero.

15 teams will be participating in the tournament including: Auburn, Alabama, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, Troy, South Alabama, Samford, UAB, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, New Orleans, LSU, Louisiana-Lafayette and Tulane.

Antuna is the lone Trojan to earn a spot in the round of 32 singles main draw which will begin on Saturday. The rest of the Trojans will begin tournament play on Thursday in the qualifying rounds, needing to win three matches to advance to the main draw. Doubles play will be one large 64 team tournament bracket that will begin on Friday.

Saturday:Â Doubles round of 32 and round of 16 (AM), 1 round main draw singles (PM)
